GERATEC's person-centred approach extends beyond the residents to include our staff.
Thanks to GERATEC's training and guidance, the staff involved in the housekeeping
and laundry departments at our homes see their job as helping to care for the residents
who live there. The cleaning teams become a part of the residents' lives, not just
by cleaning but by making it a home, spending time with residents, baking, singing,
and just talking to them.
As with all housekeeping duties, there's always more to do but they are always happy
to help and take great pride in their work. GERATEC's life and skills training make
their jobs rewarding and help them to improve their lives outside of work."
